Assist – Skills Sharing Session
Teacup Dipping

Auditions for The Broadway Theatre, Barking
PANTO AUDITIONS
This year’s panto at the Broadway will be Aladdin and we are on the lookout for talented young stars to shine alongside the professional cast members. So if you know someone aged 9 or over who can sing, dance and has that extra sparkle, make sure they don’t miss out on the auditions coming up here at the Broadway on Friday 8 July. Auditions run from 5-8pm.

The Spare Tyre Band are going to be touring again this summer at events all over London and are looking for musicians with learning disabilities to be a part of this exciting team. The band is formed of adults with learning disabilities that are musicians or have a keen interest in music and rhythm.
Adult Acting Classes
Experience the joy of self-expression with our new Adult Drama Group at the Broadway. This drama group is ideal if you want to boost your confidence, self-knowledge and presentation skills in a creative way. People with all levels of experience are very welcome, including complete novices!

Paediatric First Aid Course by Redbridge Forum
The course will run from our office in Ilford Lane on Tuesday 12th And Wednesday
13th April from 10.30-1.30 each day.
If you are a parent carer of a child with a disability and wish to attend and have already booked please forward your £10 payment to the office by Monday 29th March. This is a very expensive course for us to run and we need to ensure that all people booked do come on both days. Payment can be made in the usual way, by BACS or in person bearing in mind that we do not open on Fridays.
Once you are booked I will remind you a little nearer the time.
We may be looking to run more training course in the future. If you have a particular request then let us know.

The National Autistic Society are opening a new autism-specialist school in Chigwell.
If you are the parent or carer of a child or young person with autism, please tell us exactly what they are like, how their autism affects them and what they might need from our school.

Free Training – Employing your own Personal Assistant Made Easy
The aim of this training course is to take the mystery out of Personal Assistant (PA) recruitment and show that any family or individual with a personal budget could do so. The training course will include:
• The benefits of employing a personal assistant
• Recruiting a personal assistant
• Things you must know and do before your personal assistant starts
• Managing your personal assistant
• How to sort out problems
Who can attend?
This course is open to anyone with a personal budget, especially families or individuals, and to people who pay for their Personal Assistant (often called carers) themselves. It is a one-day course and will start at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm (lunch is included).
