This weekend (28-30 January) is the annual RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. It’s the world’s biggest wildlife survey so why not get involved? It only takes an hour and is a great way to explore what birds you have in your local patch. You don’t have to be an expert; the RSPB website has lots of useful information including ID sheets. If you don’t have a garden, why not carry out the survey in your local park? You might be surprised at what you spot – this colourful pair was recently spotted in South Park. Ring necked parakeets are spotted more and more frequently in Redbridge and were amongst the top 20 of birds recorded in Greater London in the 2016 survey.
Just to let you know our office will be closed for general business from Thursday 22nd December to Wednesday 4th January.
Fun for All activities will continue as planned during this time.
