Bee Safe
Bee Safe was a project where our service users had worked with the police and trained shopkeepers and businesses on how they could help a vulnerable person in need. People with a Learning Disability and/or Autism helped the shopkeeper understand how they can help and communicate with someone in distress.
The service users had also signed up to the project and were given a Bee Safe badge and emergency contact card. They were told to look out for the Bee Safe sticker in windows which will show the shops and business that have been trained.
We also ran a stay in safe activity on how to “stay safe” in their homes and whilst travelling.
